Nest # 10 status and archive, 2016-17

Banded Male #6414. This male is 7 years old and was first seen in the colony in 2012. This will be his first nest. He and his mate are in the Cliff breeding group and have a several other nests next to them for protection. We do not know when the egg were laid. We pick up this pair on Dec 5, 2016.

This pair has been named Bernie and Brooke by the students in Eleanora Smith's class at Brookside ES, Yorktown, NY

Dec 21. The first chick has hatched.

This chick is not as big as we would like to see, but both parents are feeding it and we will hope for the best as winter approaches. The 2016-17 Nest Check has concluded for the season. Please check back with us early Nov 2017 for all new families to follow.
