Nest #3 status and archive, 2015-16

Nov 27, 2015. This female is banded #3943, is 11 years old and rasied her first chicks in 2009-10. We have seen her before and she is in the exact same nesting site as last year. We will follow her and her mate as they raise their chicks. Her name is Darcy and her mate's name is Joey. They were named by Ms Runfola's 1st grade class at Davenport Ridge Elementary School, Stanford, CT.

Dec 29, the first egg has hatched, His has been named Tux by the students in Ms Stab's class as McFarland Intermediate School, Bordentown, NJ.

		This concludes our Nest Check for the 2015-16 Adelie Penguin Breeding season at Cape Royds. Join us Nov 2016 for another year of raising chicks.
Tux in gone . He was very small and not able to compete for food from Snowflake who was taller and stronger. This alwasys makes us sad. Snowflake is doing well.	Snowflake is the one in front of this gorup and they are staying dry from the storm.
