Male band #0919. This male is about 15 years old, maybe more. He has raised chicks many times, but not every year. This pair was in our study last year and raised 1 strong chick. He has built the nest a few meters away from last year's location and has a new mate. We do not know when the eggs were laid. When we arrived Nov 30, there were 2 eggs. This male was named Squirt last year by Jennifer Ersler's class at Grayslake MS, Grayslake, IL and will keep his name. The new female is Eleanor and named by Mr. Hooper's class at the Chalres Ellis Montessosri Academy in Savannah Georgia.
