Nest #7 status and archive, 2011-12

Female band #3891. She is 8 years old and has rasied chicks in the past. Last year she successfully raised two healthy chicks. Their nest is close to a small rock face and surrounded by other breeding penguins. This is a good site. These birds have been named by the suggestions from two different classes, Ms. Falvey and Ms. Schaefer. The male is Spirit and the female is Juliet. Ms Falvey's calss is in Kingston, Massachusetts, Ms Schaefer's class is in Mascoutah, IL. Mrs Ramsey's class in Scott City Kansas has named the chick Jacki-Scott. There wil only be one chick in this nest, the second egg has been lost.
