Nest #6 status and archive, 2017-18
Banded Male #4012. He is 13 years old this year and had nests on and off since 2008. Some were successful at raising chicks and others not. He has built his nest in this breeding group, but not this exact space. We do not know if it is the the same female from last year. This pair has been names Shadow and Snowflake by the 2nd graders in Peg Volak's class at JM Grasse Elementary School, Sellersville, PA.
First egg was seen on Nov 12, 2107
First chick Dec 16, second chick Dec 17.
Jan 15, 2018. This nest was successful in raising two big chicks. We will look for the parents next season and hope to see the chicks in 4 years or so.
