Nest #10, 2019-20

Banded Bird #4371, Male

We first saw this banded male on Nov 7, and he was already with a mate. They are in the same nesting spot as last year, so probably it is the same mate. Last year this pair raised 2 chicks, let's see what they do this season. This year their names are Chimi and Changa, by the students in Joni Nesbitt's calss at Hunter Bend ES in Franklin, TN.

The chicks will be named Hope by the students in Emily Young's 3rd gr class at Cunningham ES, Witchital Falls, TX. The second chick will be Flipper adopted by the 2nd graders in Jennifer Saldutti's class at Mohansic ES.

Dec 21. The nest has failed. Chimi was not eh nest for over 3 weeks with out food or water. When the chicks hatched she had nothing to feed them. Changa did not return in time,

This nest has failed, Chimi was here over 3 weeks without food or wather, When the chicks hatched, she had nothing to feed them. Changa did not return in time. This is a sad day.
