Banded Bird #2363 - Male
This banded male is 20 years old and was here at this same nesting spot last year with a different female. They raised 2 chicks. They have built a nest in the Cliffs breeding group and are surrounded by rocks and other birds for protection against the Skua. This year they are named Rift and Wolfi by the students in Peggi Knight's classroom at Prince Williams School, Manassas, VA. The chicks are named by the students in Reinhard Marx's class at the Staedische Realschule Sundern, in Sundern Germany. They are Manu and Mohamed.
First egg: Nov 11, 2019
Second egg: Nov 14, 2019
Jan 7, 2020. This nest produced two strong healty chicks. Manu and Mohamed are almost 3 weeks old and have joined their friends waiting for parents to bring them food.
