Nest #7, 2019-20

Banded Bird # 6574 - Male

This banded male is 10 years old, He has been around the colony every year since 2012 but only lat year ( as a 9 year old) raised his first chicks. His nest is in the Cliffs breeding group and has a large rock next to it. This is good protection from the Skuas. He has been named Archie by the 5th grade students in Joseph Archers's at Lakewood ES, Port Dover, Ontario, Canada. His mate showd up on Nov 7th and her name is Hot Pockets. She was named byt the students in Judy Barrere's class at Holy Family School in Kirkland, WA. The first chick has been named Diamond by the students in Dana Jensen's 1st graders at Riverdale ES, Ogden, UT. The second chick was adopted by the students in Sandy Sullivan's class at Old Hamilton ES in Mattapoisett, MA. Her name is Pebbles.

First egg: Nov 14, 2019. Second egg: Nov 17, 2019

First chick hatched Dec 19, 2019. Second chick Dec 21.

Jan 7, 2020. Archie and Hot Pockets were great parent and had a strong nest. Both chicks are almost 3 weeks old and will probably make it. This is a happy day.
